Operating Instructions
Automatic Winding
The Miyota 8285 automatically winds itself through the natural movement of your wrist while worn.
Manual Winding
If the watch has stopped:

Turn the crown clockwise approximately 30–40 times to sufficiently wind the mainspring.

The watch will then continue winding automatically while being worn.
Setting the Time

Pull the crown to the second click.

Turn the crown until the correct time is displayed.

Push the crown back to the normal position.
Note: The Miyota 8285 does not feature hacking seconds, so the second hand will continue moving while setting the time.
Setting the Day & Date

Pull the crown to the first click.

Turn the crown in one direction to adjust the date.

Turn the crown in the opposite direction to adjust the day.
-
Push the crown back to the normal position after setting.
Important: Do not adjust the day or date between 9:00 PM and 4:00 AM, as the calendar mechanism may be engaged.

If not worn for several days, manually wind before use.
